Denna utställning visar en undersökning i skulptur och grafik.

Mitt arbete blir en historia och en berättelse över de känslor och tankar som funnits i mig under skapelseprocessen. Ett ord som har funnits med mig under det här året är systemkollaps. Det har funnits där som en dov ton och ett mörker. Tanken på hur vi människor inte kan vara sams, det polariserande läget som blossar upp över världen och som hejas på av allt för många. Tanken om hur vi konsekvent agerar, mot bättre vetande gällande våra resurser, hur kan jag hantera det ansvar som är mitt och mitt samvete i frågan. I verket ”As we humans walk alonge” får foten stå som symbol för hur mänskligheten trampar runt. Det är inte alltid lätt att gå, vi går fel, vi försöker och försöker igen.
Till sist står vi ändå där med oss själva, i vårt eget varande med stort sett samma basala känslor som generationer före oss, vi små, små varelser obetydliga i universum men med en oerhörd vikt och vilja till ett sökande efter det rätta och ett eget liv.

Katarina Sundkvist Zohari
This exhibition shows a research through sculpture and etching.
Sundkvist Zohari takes her own inner reflections and reactions to world events as her starting point, guiding us through a narrative in which each element connects with the idea of 'system collapse'. Why can't humanity get along? reach agreements? walk together? Why is polarisation a dominant (and even desired) trend today? The representations, places and moments in this exhibition appear as overflowing containers; they show the leaks, the failure and the collapse of a system. In the same way, each sculpture, etching, gesture on clay, and trace on paper is part of a story. A story that describes the feelings and thoughts that are present during the creative process, which represent life as much as art –it is not always easy to walk; we fail and keep trying over and over again.

the foot supporting
the foot that leads
the foot that propels

beauty in form and in each limb

the foot that tangles
the deformed foot
the foot that stumbles
the foot that breaks

One pipe follows one another.
A connection, a tangle.
An infrastructure enabling or imitating human life, through which water circulates. Sewage as well. What is seen and what is hidden. Glory and shame.
The being mirrored in its creation.

In the end we are still there, in our own being, with essentially the same basic feelings as previous generations. We are tiny creatures, insignificant in the Universe, but with enormous power and will to change, to find the right path.
